Very Lost

hi i've been a jw for 12 years and got married 2 years ago.

i'm now separated.

my husband hid from me that he suffered from depression, extreme anxiety issues and a personality disorder.

Hell Exists

many people of all denominations are beginning to believe that hell does not exist - but the bible supports the claim that it does.

examine this verse, one under nkjv and the other nwt:.

nkjv - matthew 25:46, "and these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.".

Snooker debate has finally been settled...................

“if there's anyone in any sport displaying more genius at their sport than ronnie o'sullivan does at snooker, i've yet to see it.

best player i've ever seen!”.

Good physical shape? I don't play, but it's hard for to believe that the chunky guy or even O'Sullivan can keep up with any professional sports player, except for some base ball players and golfers.

He is damn good! but c'mon that's called a sport too? At least in golf you walk few kilometers in a game. Oh I forgot, they ride those carts. Snooker is more like a game at which practice is the main ingredient. I take the Michael Jordans, the Peles, The Gretzkys as far more gifted and impressive.

If the Bible is better than science, then I'd like to see JW's going to a "doctor" that claims to use only the Bible to heal. That'll be the day!

can anyone from another country come here and tell us what to do...trump is now the president of the world now, uh?.

i'm not really savvy regarding politics but i'm no dummy either...what the heck is going on in the world.... again, any thoughts ?

But that would be missing a glaring point of the article. The JW population is shrinking while the general population is not.

You make a good point. However, the greatest JW source in the U.S. is the immigrant population. South Dakota is definitely not a state with a big immigrant population. So the average that you are using is quite likely not representative of South Dakota. The "white" population of South Dakota is far less likely to be a JW than, let's say, the heavily immigrant population of los Angeles.

The Latino population, for example, brings far more publishers to the watchtower than just about any other group. The Latino population in SD is only 3%. I guess SD didn't enjoy the big surge of Latino publishers that I witnessed in recent decades. Therefore it is fair to infer that ratio of JW to population in SD should be lower than the U.S. average

Hypocrites?... maybe. Stupid? certainly not. They know quite well that Satan is far more generous than Jehovah. Good for them. That's a very small step in the right direction

Why "Most high"?

if there were only one god, why do we encounter the expression, "most high god"?.

is this not indicative of polytheism, and of levels (or degrees) of god-ness?.
